This is what a
five pound trout
looks like!
Once Bobby started using my fishing pole, he started catching all kinds of fish. LOL

We didn't win but we came in second to Bobby and Kyle who ended up 7 under! This was the first time playing with Mom and I'm looking forward to playing more when they return to Phoenix.
Mom couldn't let Rod show her up so she did a little spin out of her own! Rod and I were at the next tee box when we heard a cart skidding out of control. As we turned around to see what was going on....it was MOM sliding sideways in her cart. Good job Mom!
Rod was giving mom some putting instructions...like she needed it!
Rod, you need to work on that form!

Today was the day for white water rafting in the Rio Grande River. Because there were 15 of us, we had to go in separate boats. It was a lot of fun but getting splashed by the 40 degree water was not fun at all! At one point our boats met up and the guides decided they were going to have a water war by using the oars to splash us!

Every summer Fun Valley has their own 4th of July parade through the campground. Rod also designed some tshirts for us to wear. We didn't win an award but we were the most patriotic group there was. After decorating the jeep and bikes it was off to the parade.
Even Abby joined in the festivities....she didn't like it but she is part of the family and if I had to do it, so did she.

Payson, Sedona & Oak Creek
A few weeks ago Eileen and I took a day trip up to the Payson area to escape the heat. I'm embarrassed to admit I had never been to the Tonto National Bridge. Pretty sad for a native wouldn't you say? We hiked down to the bridge and I huffed and puffed the whole way out. All I can say is thank god for the benches every 50 feet!!! At least Eileen got a good laugh....she didn't even break a sweat and I needed a shower!
Great place for a picnic!
This little guy loved the nacho cheese fish crackers we gave him but I'm sure he wasn't thinking that later when he was trying to digest them!

Family Day Lake Pleasant
I hope everyone had a great day out on the lake. We will have to do it again soon!!
Bobby & Kyle...better luck next time on the fishing! Even though it was supposed to be a boating day....Bill managed to get in a hike (without his life Jacket....don't tell Mimi)!
Bobby was able to get in a nap and Amy & Chris must have been in some deep converstation! I'm sure they were talking about what shirt we were going to wear on what day in Colorado!
I'm not exactly sure what Rod was thinking here?????????????????????

A middle aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table, she had a near death experience. Seeing God, she asked," Is my time up" God said, "No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live. "
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a face-lift, brow lift, lip enhancement, boob job, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. After her last operation, she was released from the hospital.
While crossing the street on her way home, she was hit and killed by a car. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 40 years? Why didn't you pull me out of the path of the car?"
God replied, "Giiirrrlllllll, I didn't even recognize you."
